The theme coming through this week has been one of self-worth. The belief system that is causing interference for a lot of you has been: The more I have, the more I have to lose. When this is triggered it can slow progress and limit receiving and in a more extreme case can lead to self-sabotage by pushing opportunities and people away out of fear. Naturally, we want to shift this into a place of the more I have, the more I continue to gain.
Have you ever found yourself making great strides and everything is going well and then boom, out of nowhere it seems to slump and you feel stuck? If you have any beliefs or fears around receiving or sustaining blessings it can create a roller coaster effect. The worst part is often the associated anxiety. As well as the self-criticism created by thoughts of what am I missing? What am I doing wrong? I must have a big block! When in fact, sometimes it's as simple as patience and trust needing to be exercised. Let's see what the elementals want to share about self-worth...
Self-worth is love versus fear. They show me a flagpole standing strong in a heavy wind. You can fly your flag proudly despite any 'bad weather' you encounter. Humans are emotional beings but self-worth is being able to stand strong in your own truth when others project onto you. It's about embracing differences, receiving and giving love freely and authentically, it's learning to like who you are, flaws and all. Humans spend far too much time trying to be perfect. What is perfect? It is but a grand illusion you are sold. They show me someone peddling something on the streets, selling what looks like gold but is really mud underneath. If you look this way, if you own this thing, if you demand this type of love, it's all nonsense really. Self-worth means knowing you can enjoy those things, and place value on certain things you find joy in but you don't need to be or have anything in particular. They show me someone being happy in love and their picture being completely different than the rest of their neighbors. Trying too hard to be something you are not keeps you from being worthy in what you are. They show me a cat chasing its tail and then they tap the heart. This is where the worth is. All value stems from this magical place within you. The place where illusions cease and your inner reality is formed. Let go of expectations and belief systems that prevent you from discovering you. They show me someone shaking in fear. You will feel vulnerable and scared at times but what will keep you strong is the very real heartfelt connection to your true essence. All the human stuff is, of course, necessary and valid but it's not where you access your worth. Your worth is tapped into from inside and then you start to see it reflected on the outside. No person or thing or experience will sustain worth long-term. If you wait for someone else to provide it for you, you'll wait forever. You'll have feel-good moments but all in all it's you that must pull it out of your center and embrace it. Start practicing this by asking yourself the question: Is this true? When someone says something that hurts you or when you have a thought about yourself you don't like, ask, is this true? When you get curious you get creative and when you get creative you start making a life instead of chasing one.
