​Feeling blocked or stuck, a stalemate, the need for action steps. A call for commitment, make a choice and make it happen. Let go of perfection and focus on progress, mix the ideal with the real to get moving.

Okay, folks, February is a shadow card, which means you want to approach this month with openness, acceptance, and be ready to tap into your available resources of support. The less expectation you carry into this month, the better it will feel. There may be something you have been resisting or putting off that you will need to come face to face with. Or there may be something less than desirable that you are tackling this month, but the only way out is through, so you'll need to dig in, keep the faith, and surrender. Use any mantras you find comforting such as, "This too shall pass". It will be a bit of a "grin and bear it" kind of month, so try to find and embrace moments of rest and release where you can. If you have people who can make you laugh, this is their month to shine! And hopefully you can be that person for others too, as a sense of humour will be a most valuable tool. Whenever there is a shadow card, it's not a sign of something bad but rather you can expect to find yourself in transition and needing to be in the present moment, with the possibility of making a significant shift. Balance out any spots of heaviness or overwhelm with deep breathing, gratitude, and positive affirmations. 

One of the positives is that this energy is about reflecting and releasing. I see an image of someone watching their life review or going through old photos and scrapbooking. Take the good memories, learn from the not-so-good, and shift your focus forward. This month forces you to leave the past behind and find a fresh perspective. Prioritize wisely. What you conquer this month can ultimately create more strength and peace.

This month primarily asks you to forgive. You are invited to forgive, and in so doing, be free. Is there anyone that you are holding anger or resentment toward? Are there any relationships in your life that you desire to heal? Remember, you don't need another person to be on board to forgive—forgiveness is for you. You can forgive someone you are not in contact with. It energetically means you aren't carrying forward unnecessary pain or burden. Be willing to recognize the wounded child or loveless child behind someone's pain, and you can more easily forgive. It's time to heal. Be self-reflective.

When you are processing shadow energy you can easily feel emotionally overwhelmed, so keep in conversation with Spirit, speaking aloud your fears, praying, and asking for signs and help. Anything you are confronted with this month serves to bring you closer to yourself. Ensure to acknowledge aspects of yourself you might have dismissed or not given credit to. You are stronger than you think you are, and at the end of this month you will feel it. Spirit shows me something hiding under a rock and being coaxed out. Let the light be cast into any remaining shadows so progress can be made.

Don't be hasty this month, and don't take things for granted. This time calls for a rational and practical approach. Earth element will dominate as much of what is cleared will be connected to root chakra and foundation. Plant your feet firmly and take a step-by-step approach, and before you know it, you'll find yourself on the other side of any troubling situations, birthing the new light you unearthed.
