August is the month of eight. Eight represents willpower, financial well-being, inner-strength, hard work, and determination. This month's energy is going to ask you to balance the earthly with the spiritual and the unconscious with the conscious. I'm shown a bright light shining at the end of a tunnel and spirit says, whatever you do, don't stop now! If you did your work, you pulled in the new illumination July offered and this month spirit encourages you to now put it in motion. You may feel resistance but don't quit right before the miracle occurs. You've come too far to give up now. Find your second wind, dig deep, and persevere to the rewards you've earned.

As you've been coming into your own, old disempowered patterns and emotions have become glaringly obvious, at times probably annoyingly or painfully so. You now know very clearly what you do and don't want. This card signals that you will be seeing your new wants through by implementing healthy changes, new routines, divinely guided conversations, boundaries, and making any necessary adjustments that came from last month's rebirth energy.

The resonating truth this month will be that you can't change anyone but yourself. And you may feel challenged to honour yourself while feeling pushed and pulled to please others. Remember you can't disappoint anyone but yourself. Don't try to explain your choices and get others to understand your changes but simply share and state them if need be. Self-responsibility is highlighted with this karma card. That's what the gift of this month is all about, positive detachment. The fire breathing dragon symbolizes a boost of energy and transformation. Practice turning anger into passion, anxiety into presence, grief into celebration, and control into surrender. You can do it!

There will be an underlying intensity to this month but you can manage it by being proactive and peaceful. Hopefully, you honoured the slower pace and rest that July asked for so you feel capable of staying engaged in this month's more action-oriented energy. A saying that fits well this month is: walk your talk. You can expect to have experiences where you will be asked to do just that. Allow your higher self to lead the way and be expressed through your earthly self. Dynamics are going to be seen very clearly and triggers may be magnified. You can expect to come face to face with denial and differences. When faced with these differences you are asked to stay self-connected in your own energy and not overreact emotionally. Remind yourself that whoever or whatever triggers you the most has the capacity to be a wonderful agent of change for you. As the card says, obstacles are really just opportunities for growth. It's a mental game more than anything this month so patience and perspective will be your golden tickets.

This balancing energy of eight is ready to see you flip the script! Let's say you've had a history of breaking the law only to now find yourself happily working on the other side to enforce it. You may find yourself thriving in a picture you previously resisted because of your commitment to healing and personal growth. You extracted the light and are standing in the new strength and abundance of it. Now it's time to let that new energy grow and flow as you walk further down your new path.

Anything that supports your solar plexus, sacral chakra, and core will be beneficial this month as your crown and root will be looking to harmonize and support center. Work with the colours yellow and orange, and use air element for clearing. Sage regularly, and get outside on a windy day, letting the breeze sweep through and cleanse your aura. With a lot of mental focus called for, balancing it out with earth element will help keep you grounded and energized.

If you've doubted your willpower in the past, this month you are ready to surprise yourself with how strong you really are. Elevation is the name of the game as you are stepping it up. Any intensity and discomfort are minor and only temporary as you adjust to the new changes and ways of being. You are highly adaptable and before you know it, the new you will feel like old news.
