I'm sure you've heard the saying many times: As one door closes, another opens. With this current energy theme you may have found yourself having to push a littler harder to close the door behind you. Many of you have felt frustrated over having to address the past, be it old relationships surfacing, patterns re-emerging or having to say no repeatedly. You may have felt disrespected and felt that people aren't honoring your evolution. This is about you skyrocketing forward past old fear. The goal is always to evolve. But part of evolution is saying goodbye to what no longer works, that which you've outgrown, and embracing the new, and that which is calling you. The biggest gift you can give yourself in navigating this energy is your voice. As well, rather than be upset by this growth spurt, appreciate the strength you're gaining. A snake sheds its skin, day becomes night, its nature, it's divine order for things to end and things to begin. The ego resists this ebb and flow because it wants control. Don't let the expectations or opinions of others sway you from your beautiful progress. You are not validated by other people, you are validated by Source and by spirit. You're being guided to leave the past where it belongs, behind you. And you can do so with love. The more you honor and celebrate your evolution, the more you'll naturally attract the new energies that will also honor it. The more you try to be seen by old energies, the more stuck you'll be.
Here's an exercise for you: Think about four people you most admire. If you want to take it a step further and get crafty, go for it, and make a collage of them to keep above your desk or in your vision book. What quality is it that these four people share? There will be an obvious thread to the admiration of these people. For example, perhaps they are all risk takers or they are all highly creative or they all speak their truth fearlessly. Whatever that quality is, that is what you are most desiring to strengthen and connect within yourself. Come up with a list of three things you can start to work on that will build that quality or characteristic in you. And begin to practice it daily.
Let's see what insights our elemental friends have to offer us this week...
Another saying you're familiar with is: You've nothing to fear but fear itself. And it's so true! Lock it up with love. The past should remain there. And you should enjoy journeying forward. New experiences and learning are the whole point, the fruits of life. Humans often believe things should last forever and they are hurt when they don't. But how boring would that be? Change is where it's at. If you're not growing, you've given up. Don't waste time and energy trying to drag people forward that aren't supposed to be there. Let them go with love and (they show me rubbing palms together in delight) get super enthused about who is ready to come in! Because if something needs to die, it's making space for something needing to be born. We urge you to remember that spirit is your unconditional source for everything. Don't get caught up looking outside of yourself because you'll surely be disappointed. Create from within, stay the course, and you're bound to be delighted. Big dreams require big faith and (they show me a boat passing through a storm) navigating some big, choppy waters from time to time. Us elementals love rewards, we're all for indulging. But we also understand there are more important things than the reward, such as the journey itself. And that's the real challenge you're all being faced with right now. Can you appreciate all aspects of the journey? It's easy to like the sparkly bits but can you love the dark bits too? Holding onto the past is letting fear grip your future. Letting go of the past is kicking fear in the butt so it becomes a motivator instead of an enemy.
