Edwin - Rebirth, Peace
A difficult cycle is coming to an end and relief is here. A time of blissful renewal and rebirth. A personal sense of deep peace and tranquility.
Winter solstice is December 21st and this is a most fitting card for it. Winter solstice is about the rebirth of the sun. It's a time to stand in your shadows of the past year and let the light illuminate them. This month marks a significant turning point in your transformation. The word that Spirit uses is actually, reinvention. Looking back on this year do you feel as if you've reinvented yourself? If so, congrats! That would mean you embraced change, rose to any challenges, and came out stronger and wiser. Don't fret if you don't quite feel that way yet. It takes time to become familiar with the newly evolved version of you. You will continue to feel more and more comfortable as time goes on. And before you know it you'll be looking back having a hard time remembering life before this re-birthed version of yourself. Head into 2020 with an intention of having fun as you discover all the new aspects of yourself that you've opened up and are ready to embrace.
We've all probably heard the saying, 'There's no time like the present', and this is how you can expect your New Year to kick off. This month brings the opportunity to renew your energy, reclaim your truths, and revitalize your spirit in preparation for the new year. Any practices where you focus on bringing light to your shadows will be most beneficial. You can light a candle(s) and stare at the flame as you relax, call on your guides, and then ask Spirit to shine white light into any lingering shadows or lower energy, fully cleansing it. You can do my favourite, simply stand in the sunlight with your eyes closed and feel the warmth and light fill and charge every chakra. Work with the light while releasing the dark with love, and you'll be on point.
Spirit says please take some time to write down or speak aloud what you would like the upcoming year to feel like. Not what you want to manifest, not what you want to have happen, but how you want the year to feel. If you're not sure, think about what you didn't like feeling this past year, and then simply take the opposite of that. For example, if you felt lonely, tired and overwhelmed, you want the coming year to feel loved, energized and balanced. If you felt unhappy and fearful, you want to feel joyful and confident. Beside each feeling write down one thing you can do that makes you feel that way and start putting it into practice. For example, if you want to feel energized, you might put working out, drinking enough water, or getting enough sleep beside it. Then every day, or when you're not feeling the desired way, look at your list and take the associated action step. This will be an easy way to hold yourself accountable while initiating small but sustainable changes that can bear a huge impact long-term. If you've been working your natural magic and things are feeling great, then just set an intention of continued growth and flow with all the positive energy.
This month you are asked to let go of any external focuses that are unnecessarily draining your time, energy, and resources in order to move into 2020 with a healthier foundation. For example, are you obsessing over politics as opposed to staying informed and invested in them? Are you spending more time scrolling through pictures of other people's moments instead of making your own? If you want to live your light you need to move from within, with a focus of self-responsibility. That is what will allow your desired feelings to unfold in the year ahead with the most ease and grace. It's not so much a pulling back this month as a pulling in. Spirit shows it as though the energy were a wave, one last 2019 ebb before a 2020 flow.
A monthly energy foresight. The first of every month, I pull a card from my Faye Oracle Cards. I share what the card represents and any additional insights my guides bring through so that you can be aware of the energy and make the most of the month.
