This week's theme brought up a resurgence of something that happens a lot in the healing community: energy invasion. This occurs when someone sends healing to someone else or shares intuitive information without consent. There are varying degrees of opinions about the proper boundaries with this but my personal belief is that you should never work on someone's energy or share information without their permission. Most of the time this happens with a very positive intention, the person invading wants to help someone they believe is in need of it. But even if you want to help someone, it's not your place. I've experienced this discomfort and fear from others when meeting new people. They learn what I do and their first questions are: Are you reading my mind? What are you picking up? I've always found this funny because not only do I respect boundaries but the last thing I want to do is go swimming in someone else's psyche during my downtime. I enjoy balance and while I'm always more than happy to answer questions about my work, it's a common misperception that I want to jump into everyone's energy and start working away. I do appreciate the curiosity, and love the enthusiasm. Over the years I've mastered the art of turning it on and off at will.
I'll share just one example I've witnessed of energy invasion. I was in Hawaii taking the Doreen Virtue mediumship course, back in the day. My sister was on the trip with me and made some friends during the day while I was in class. We were having dinner and one of our new friends shared that a student from the course had stopped him randomly as he was walking through the resort and started talking about his kids, giving messages of guidance about his daughter. He shared that she wasn't inaccurate in her information, his daughter was going through a troubling time, but that it made him uncomfortable because it caught him off guard. He wasn't sure how to handle it. I remember being upset hearing about this because it was not only disrespectful to walk up to a complete stranger and start reading their family but also because it's this kind of action that gives healers a bad rap. Classic energy invasion. This busy dad to several kids was on vacation, this wasn't something he wanted to think about at that moment. And it was none of the student's business. Do I think the student had ill intentions? Not at all. I think her enthusiasm got the better of her and she wasn't grounded.
A lot of people will argue that it's okay to send energy healing to someone because their higher self can choose whether or not they receive it. But I think that's a bit cheeky. It's still straddling a line, isn't it? It's more about satisfying your need to feel like you've done something. The one exception I see with this is if you're working on a family healing or a couples healing and the energy of the partner or children shows up strongly in the session. Then you might set an intention of saying if your free will wishes to receive in tandem to this healing you can. But still, I wouldn't directly shift focus and work on their energy because it's not their session of course. And as I always say, when you work on a family it's like skipping a rock, it has a natural ripple effect anyways. Every member of the family is a strand in one big web. If one strand is moving, the rest will feel it on some level.
If you see someone struggling and are worried, the best option is to ask the person if they would like some support or some healing sent their way. And then most importantly, hear what they say. Respect their free will. If they say yes, great, set up a time and go for it. And if they say no, respect it and let it go. If they don't say anything, they may like the idea but aren't ready yet, so again, let it go. If it's not a yes, it's a no. Present the offer and wait for them to pick it up.
A respectful alternative is to pray for someone, as this can be done without interfering in their journey or process. It's one thing to hold someone in your thoughts and prayers. It's another to be in their energy body. Even though you may have a loving intention if you are repeatedly suggesting healing to someone it will have the opposite effect, it will register as judgment. What they may hear is: You don't think it's okay to feel how I feel, or to be where I'm at. You think I need to be different or that my life isn't okay how it is. It's arrogant to assume you know what someone else needs. The majority of the time if someone is struggling it is because they are experiencing their shadows and moving through a very necessary learning experience. Who has the right to rob them of that? I understand how hard it is to watch someone you love suffer but remember that suffering is strength begging to be born. If you push, they may feel obligated or pressured to cave and receive something they never wanted in the first place. And you don't want to engage in an exchange of energy rooted in guilt, resistance or force. It will be exhausting for you and disempowering for them. The key ingredient to healing is the participant's willingness and desire for it.
It's worth sharing as well that when someone has experienced a really great healing session or workshop, their excitement can get the better of them. In their enthusiasm they want everyone else to experience the same joy and empowerment. It's natural as you've been in a light vibration and are coming off a spiritual high. But I always encourage you to share your passion and joy, while being conscious of not pushing things on others. Celebrate it as the personal gain it is for you. And by all means spread the word and highly recommend it from a place of authentic sharing. And then trust that if someone is interested, they'll ask you for more information, or check it out in their own time. There's a big difference in energy between saying: I just loved this workshop, I feel so good right now. Here's the info if you ever feel inclined to check it out. Versus: You should really take this workshop. You need it, it would help you. One is sharing, the other is projecting.
So to sum it up, respect the free will of others. It allows both of you to enjoy a healthier relationship, rooted in boundaries and trust.
The theme this week has you addressing any triggers and fears around change. You are being asked to process any limitations that are preventing you from taking the next step in accomplishing your goals. With this personal growth, it's important to notice if you are unconsciously projecting your fear of change. Do you notice yourself resisting change via a negative attitude or lower vibration words? Change isn't easy, it requires a lot of work, commitment, and trust. It's not for the faint of heart. The ego wants to keep you comfortable and convince you that everything should stay status quo. But that's not what you came here for. You came here to grow! And to do so you need to be challenged, to change and to evolve. I always say there are only two directions I go, forward and up. And one of the things that makes me a good healer and teacher is that I'm one of those weirdos who actually likes change. When I make a change people always ask me: Why did you change your hair? Why did you move there? Why aren't you doing this anymore? My answer is, why not?! I go where my soul takes me because I trust in change. Every look has reflected a piece of myself I was integrating. Every place I've lived has offered me important spiritual growth and soul gifts that I've brought home. I like to keep things fresh. To me, it would be a red flag if a spiritual healer wasn't evolving and their work or life wasn't moving forward. So this week I'm going to share some personal experiences in regards to growing pains as a part of your personal and professional evolution. I want to talk about having to face other people’s resistance to change while embracing your own.
I began my spiritual work offering angel card readings in 2007. I've since evolved into resonating more with the elemental realm and offering shamanic-based healing sessions. The reason behind my evolution has been empowerment. I always want to give people not what they want, but what they need. And that is not always a popular choice, but for me it's the integral choice.
Since I moved on from offering prediction-based readings at the end of 2016, I've heard the same two responses repeatedly: That's too bad or that's a shame. Is it? Is it really too bad? Is it really a shame? Or is it interesting and refreshing? Is it self-honoring and inspiring? And here's my absolute favorite that I've heard: I hope you go back to it. Le sigh... Really? You hope I take a step back in my spiritual evolution?! Because that's actually what you just said. Most of these things are said unconsciously but it's important to look at the energy behind what you're putting out there. And more importantly what it's trying to mirror back to you. Don't ever wish for someone to slow their growth or stay stagnant; that’s a gross energy to put out there. I was sent some serious nasty energy during this transition. The very same people who were proclaiming their admiration and love for me and my services were also sending me toxic negative energy out of resentment and fear. They took it personally. They felt like I had abandoned them. They had disempowered themselves and believed I was their source, which is the opposite of what I have always taught. I was forcing them to face change, to stand with me at an intersection that asked: Grow forward with me or no? And they didn't like it. But the best healers, teachers, and motivators in your life will present you with the opportunity to change repeatedly.
I'd have people try to convince me not to make the changes I had already made. They'd repeatedly tell me how accurate my readings were and fluff my feathers. Well that's great, I mean it, I'm so glad people enjoyed my service but I'm not stopping prediction-based readings because I thought I was inaccurate. Again, the mirroring was so beautiful and ironic. I didn't grow and run a full-time business because I wasn't good at what I did. These people were trying to give me the reassurance they were looking for.
So what do I think some fair and more aware responses might have been?
The reason I stopped offering prediction-based readings is that it had come full circle, and I had hit a wall with them. I wasn't enjoying them anymore; I had been doing it for almost eight years full-time and I grew increasingly frustrated at people's unwillingness to self-connect and embrace their own personal power. And I began to resent my work, and that is not something I'm comfortable with. So I moved forward down the path that I had been developing for some time, into—you guessed it—teaching people how to self-connect and develop their personal power. There's always a reason to the rhyme, my friends. I was pushing people to walk their talk. I don't want to talk about the options available to you in your future, I want to provide you with the tools to create it. I always say I'm not interested in helping you for a moment, I'm invested in empowering you for a lifetime.
As with any spiritual business transition, there is a flushing out of old clients and a welcoming of new ones. I've been through this growth spurt a few times. When I began and moved from part-time to full-time, when I moved to BC and transitioned in-person readings into distance, and when I moved on from readings into more healing and teaching. I was prepared and excited for this energy cleanse. I'm not someone who holds onto things. In fact, I love a good purge so much I'll sometimes let go of items too early! But there was a backlash I had to process. I had clients who even after I had told them about my changes and provided them with the info would still ask me to make an exception for them and do a reading because they liked the old way. Just a tad disrespectful. I had clients who were aware of the change and would still book a session in hopes that because they had me on the phone, I'd surrender to a reading. Just a tad manipulative. I had a client refuse to pay even after I'd explained the changes and they'd agreed to the hour because no, they still really wanted a reading. Just a tad deceitful. And my response to every moment of this resistance and disrespect was, thank you. Thank you old client, and thank you spirit for validating my decisions. Thank you for the crystal-clear confirmation that I have made the right choices for myself and my business. And thank you for forcing me to take such supreme care of my energy right now. And bless you all because wherever you are at is where you should be. I let you go with love. I appreciate it all: the easy, the difficult, the in-between; it's all magic because it all feeds a new strength.
I share this to spark your awareness to the evolution at play in your life and others. Is there something that you are saying ‘that's too bad' that needs to be re-thought? Maybe you're on the receiving end of an 'it's a shame’ comment and you need to be reminded that it's not a shame, it's a bloody celebration! There's one thing I can promise you without fail, and that is that I will always be true to my authentic self, and my work will always reflect that. I will never teach, heal or share something I'm not passionate about and something that I don't use myself. Staying stagnant isn't really an option, guys; it's an illusion of safety, a tempting but temporary comfort. This week asks you to stand strong in the face of fear and to honor yourself no matter what resistance you have to move through. The view at the top of the hill wouldn't be rewarding without making the climb. Know yourself, know your business, and keep it real. Because if you're hanging back and not living your truth, your work is going to reflect that. And if relationships in your life need to end it's because new ones need to begin.
Don't waste time, it's precious, as are you. Go forward and up my friends! Grow always. Grow all ways.
But don't you love the moments when it all finally clicks? The light bulb, a-ha moments of insight! They are the best and make all the heavy processing worthwhile. After a week of deep emotional reflection and pushing through lots of feelings of resistance, last night and this morning my insights have been clicking into place. It's instant relief. One thing about this week's theme is it reminded us that if we want something we have to be willing to work for it. And when we come up against the workpiece we are forced to address how badly we want it. This is why being aware of and fulfilling your purpose is so important, it ensures the passion will always be there to drive the willingness to work. There's a reason I made my business tagline: work your natural magic. And that's because it is work. You'll get to experience the full benefits of your natural magic if you're willing to work it. Let's check in with our lovely elemental friends, shall we?
Channelled message: This week was a reminder that you are never forced to do anything. Growth is a choice. Albeit a better option than getting left behind or staying stagnant. But there are growing pains involved with implementing change. What we fear most is that people will feel too tired or too fearful to make the changes necessary to improve their lives. Short term work can equal long-term gains. Imagine looking back on your life and realizing that you had the most wonderful magic within you and you never explored it. Wouldn't it be tragic if you never unearthed the most precious gem in your life? You. We urge you to go digging, go on a self-excavation! Embrace the good, bad and in-between as you uncover the magic in you. This is your year to declare your love for yourself and the planet. You don't need to ask: am I worthy? You know you are. You need to equip yourself with tools that allow you to live that worth. We want nothing more than to see your worth reflected back to you in all your relationships. Sunshine personified, that is you and your full potential. This full moon tonight is helping you awake from a slumber. The dragging heaviness you've been in has been you preparing to shake off a good couple years worth of shadow hibernation. There are no expectations of who you must be or what you must do. There is just divine curiosity that is asking to be restored. Just like the days are starting to return to the light, so too are you. Like it or not, there's always work to do. But if you access your light and move from passion, you can whistle while you work.
This week's theme has brought up two words repeatedly: courage and adventure. And in order to access new levels of these, you are first processing some grief. Some of this may be expected as you are aware of a grieving process you've been in, and some of it may surprise you as you didn't realize you were holding grief. Either way, it's time for it to come full circle. This necessary purge is here to set the stage for the rest of the year. You are purging old emotions in order to create more courage and embrace new adventures. So if you find yourself feeling more emotional than usual, go with it. If you need a good cry, cry. If you need to get mad, get mad. Don't just observe it though, or let it just spill out at will. Consciously choose to go into the emotion, feel it, and process it in a way that works for you. Then it doesn't have to be expressed unconsciously trying to repeatedly get your attention. This is when unfortunate interactions and miscommunications occur.
This week's energy reminds you of the importance of being proactive as opposed to reactive. A sense of humour is your greatest resource when there is big energy at play. Much of the grief this week is about releasing old disappointments, hurts, and expectations in order to create the security and safety needed to support more courage and adventure. If you are feeling frustrated fighting feelings of lack and uncertainty, you're in the zone! Lucky you. Until it's time for clarity to dawn, turn to spirit and ask: what step can I take right now to increase my peace of mind and security? This month is a vibration of two, it wants to be like a loving mom to you. To encourage you to spread your wings, and to support you in making necessary and positive changes that set the stage for your brightest future. You may still feel like you've got the training wheels on this month and that will frustrate you but that will all change in March when Spring sees you flying free. You need to know what isn't working in order to know what you want to create, and what changes need to be made. This week is magnifying what is lacking and no longer working for you. Don't buy into the ego b.s that this means you are in lack and send yourself into a spiral of doubt, fear, and anxiety. But rather remind yourself these intense emotions are your abundance, they are your awareness in action.
Next week's full moon is going to be a big release! And that's why you may be feeling a little ungrounded and frustrated at the moment. It all needs to bubble up to the surface so it can be shifted. Do your best to embrace any discomfort as you navigate any remaining choppy emotional waters because land ahoy! And what's awaiting you is that newfound courage and adventure.
The energy theme this week has the elementals wanting to talk about shame. This week's Faye card and accompanying message is of rebirth and renewal, and the elementals are calling for 'the death of shame.' With Valentine's Day this week and a focus on love, this message is important as part of this rebirth is the pull to self-connection.
Channelled message: Shame is the internalization of other's beliefs about who you are or who they think you should be. It is one of the heaviest emotions and problems that more and more people are facing. It stems from fear and judgment, an unwillingness to embrace change and celebrate differences. It's also arrogant and controlling, declaring to someone, "My way is the only way" or "I know who you are supposed to be and how you should feel." This is ridiculous and we are very passionate about wanting to heal and prevent this. Shame can drive people deep within and not in a good way but in an isolating way. One is easily enough prone to their own shame stemming from self-judgment and self-criticism without feeling the burden of shame being placed upon them by others.
So what can you do to combat this most negative feeling and support the death of shame? The opposite of shame is self-love, it's honor. It's about being your own inner-authority and having self-respect. This is why we address this during this week of rebirth and this is why self-connection is the way forward. If people aren't willing to develop their inner-most selves and create a deep sense of spiritual authority and pride, it is quite difficult to navigate such a heavy feeling. The goal is to get to a place where you honor your emotions and understand their purpose, therefore not suffering from shame. And if someone were to shame you, you can seek to understand where it's coming from, remind yourself that it's their own projection of self-judgment and fear, and know how to transform it, quickly letting it go. Start by shifting your perspective, see shame as an opportunity to develop your inner-strength. Then find resources and seek support to equip yourself with the tools to feel confident in processing your emotions. You can then also develop and enjoy bringing a sense of humor to it. If you are feeling shame it is a call to reconnect with yourself so you can be strong in who you really are. Everyone deserves love because everyone is love. Behind every act of shame is pain. Dig into your self-discovery, develop your self-love and commit to cultivating a deep spiritual strength. And remember no one has power over you.
Most people are familiar with power animals, animal spirits that support us with their strengths and energy medicine on our spiritual journey. But we can also have shadow animals. Shadow animals challenge us. They represent the darker side of ourselves and are often the figure in our nightmares or an image that we strongly resist. There are many shadow animals but some common ones are:
Working with shadow animals isn't what you would necessarily consider a good time. Well let's face it, shadow work, in general, doesn't have you jump for joy. It's like sitting and having a coffee with your friend but your friend is fear. That being said the minute you are willing to face your fear and invite the energy in, you can start to shift it from a source of suffering into a source of strength. Shadow work is about acknowledging the aspects of yourself that are usually marginalized or ignored because they are the parts you least like. It requires a lot of persistence and willpower. But it can lead to some big gains including deeper self-connection and heightened intuition.
Another aspect of working with shadow animals is that you can experience what's considered to be an initiation. This is an unpleasant interaction where you are attacked by your shadow animal. There are some stories of people who have almost died from a serious snake or spider bite as their initiation. But this initiation can be considered a gift, like the passing of a baton, or the marking of a significant milestone with a tattoo. How do you know if it's an initiation? It's significant, a stand out experience that will resonate deeply with your life at that moment and looking back you will notice that you gained and witnessed a positive transformation in the areas of the animal's strengths. I experienced an initiation with my shadow animal wasp.
While living in Victoria, Elliott and I decided to hike what's considered to be one of the more challenging trails, Mt. Finlayson. We made it to the top and were gifted with this amazing moment of watching several eagles gracefully gliding above us, it was a natural high. But on our descent we managed to get off trail, and had a difficult time finding our way down, about to hit a low. At the bottom and still off the marked path we ended up walking through more rugged terrain and I unknowingly stepped on a wasps nest. Cut to me flaying like a banshee, screaming and crying as I was stung repeatedly by ten plus wasps. This was the first time I'd been stung by anything and I've always had a fear of insects, with a particular dislike for spiders and wasps. Poor Elliott was trying to brush them off my shirt as they clung to the material and I wouldn't stop moving in panic. Eventually we managed to get them all off and me out of harm's way. My body was tingling from stings for a good hour afterward. And there were a few stingers still in my skin that Elliott found and removed when we were home. I literally stepped on the wasps home, I fully understand and appreciate their defence of it. I, a feisty incarnated elemental and Leo, am equally prone to family loyalty and defence. The spiritual meaning of wasp strongly resonates with me, and particularly for what I was moving through at that time. Wasp represents the female warrior spirit, feminine power, bridging the duality of life and death, a personal healing crisis, and life-affirming transformation. As well as the quality of an independent thinker who is goal-oriented. This initiation occurred at a time where I was at the deepest point in my personal shadow work and in a period that called for me to be uprooted. And wasp's medicine of balancing power, humility, and compassion was at the heart of my time in Victoria. It's worth mentioning too that right after as we were making our way out and back to the car we came upon a large dead stag head, half-decomposed. Elliott was like you have to be kidding me! As he knows I hate seeing dead animals and deer was my first power animal. The duality of life wasn't lost on me as I thought how beautiful these big strong antlers were as they sat on this dead rotting carcass. Needles to say that hike was a memorable experience of highs and lows.
Shadow animals are powerful spiritual work, and an initiation, no matter how unpleasant and scary, is a gift. Don't seek a shadow animal, they will seek you. And if a shadow animal has come into your life and you have been pushing it away or ignoring it out of fear, challenge yourself to do the opposite. I now periodically recognize wasp spirit, I call it in during ceremony or meditation, and I thank it for being a guide through the dark. It helps remind me of the importance of honoring my shadows and supports me in finding the light in the dark. And it indeed has left me feeling stronger.
If you're aware of a shadow animal or have had an experience with one comment below, I'd love to hear about it.
The latest energy theme has been providing you with opportunities to remember and honor spiritual protection. If you are struggling to believe in your spiritual safety you may have found a lot of trust issues surfacing. Sometimes you need to be reminded how adamantly spirit can and will protect you. If you commit to something and ask spirit for help, the universe will 100% have your back, although your human mind doesn't always see it that way.
Here's a past example: I had been praying for my ideal romantic partner and relationship to come into my life. My sister and I were living together at the time and were looking at purchasing a place together. We found several places we loved and made several offers we felt good about and all of them fell through. And for seemingly no good reason. Time and again there was always some small hiccup that would prevent our decision from moving forward. We don't give up easily so we kept pushing on, determined to stay positive, find the right place and make it happen. But after a handful of disappointments, we were forced to take a step back and re-evaluate our plans. Shortly after I had a very strong instinct to move to Kelowna. I didn't know why but I felt called there. I've always had a deep spiritual trust and have never been afraid to act on my intuition, so I decided I would heed the call. My sister ended up purchasing a place of her own, living in a different area that proved to be a healthy choice for her and that has created a new strength and independence in her. And after a year of my living in Kelowna, I met the love of my life.
If you commit to your happiest picture and ask spirit for help, something that is not right for you will not pan out. Spirit will do whatever it takes to protect and honor your highest good even if that means you feeling temporarily angry, upset or disappointed. Pretty powerful, loving and beautiful, right? It's easy to have a good intention and to feel frustrated and confused as my sister and I did. But if you can step back and look at the bigger picture, your trust will show you spirit was protecting you from a situation that ultimately wasn't in alignment with your prayers and dreams. And if you're willing to act on your trust and follow through on your divine guidance, you support spirit in more easily answering your prayers.
It can be difficult to surrender a situation when we are convinced it is right for us. But the unconditional love spirit shows in holding your faith and the highest path for you is so inspiring. The only one who can get in your way is you. Spirit will open or close as many doors, as many times as needed, to ensure the best for you. Your job is to be aware, listen and trust. And then walk through the open doors in spiritual confidence. If you are having a hard time trusting, turn to your resources. This is where prayer, self-healing tools, the support of a practitioner, ritual and meditation are beyond beneficial.
Another important aspect the latest energy theme is encouraging is to stop thinking small. Part of this intense energy wave is supporting you to aim high. Spirit called me out on this last week. I was writing out an intention to manifest and they said: Really? Is that the best you can do? You're aiming too low and it's actually limiting your own flow. Aim higher! As soon as I aimed higher my flow immediately increased. Check in and make sure you're not limiting yourself or that you haven't unconsciously lowered your expectations. This is the year for the self to rise and in order to make the most of it, your inner dreamer needs to take back the reigns. The last couple of years required your realist to take centre stage but now your idealist is ready to jump in and create some well-deserved balance. Be fearless about closing the doors to the old because it's high time to flourish.
I had fun with the blog post for this week. I channel the elementals on a regular basis and they use a lot of the same words repetitively. Here's a list of the top 10 words they most often use and love. As well as a little message or description from them alongside each word.
I was also curious how they themselves would define an elemental. I asked and they all shared different answers in simple, short and sassy elemental style. A couple of noteworthy traits before you read on, the elementals talk fast, and they don't talk over one another, but they don't pause in between either. You'll find one answer flows immediately into the next.
Me: How would you describe an elemental?
Elementals: A necessity, something of profound essence.
A magic maker!
A believer in and champion of the greater good.
Earth Mother's child and devotee.
A benevolent being often confused with being dark or dangerous.
A steward of the earth, a bringer of the light.
A friend, if treated correctly.
This week's energy theme has asked you to evaluate your definition of support. Have you been asking for support but not recognizing it? Are you holding an expectation of what form your support needs to take? Here's an example, let's say you're asking for support with your finances and abundance. You look at it and decide you need your workload to increase in order to earn x amount of dollars by x date so that's the support you want. But the universe sees that there is greater financial abundance for you with a side project you're working on. So rather than up your workload the universe supports you with the gift of time to finish your project. You may be surrounded by support but still feel a lack.
When I begin a healing session I always set the same intention, to address and shift whatever is in the highest good of the client, so that we can create as much strength, balance, and harmony as possible. Clients are often surprised how by the end of the session their questions got answered without having to ask them. This is because spirit knows where to go first. The human mind is limited and wants to fixate on questions but that just gets you talking in circles and keeps you stuck on the surface. The soul knows where to dig deep to create the most supportive shift. I'm not interested in spending an hour validating a client's intuition for them or giving them their insights. I'm invested in spending an hour strengthening a client to develop their own intuition to the point where they won't need to seek validation because they can confidently connect with the insights within themselves. The latter is far more supportive to a client but it's a perfect example of how some would feel unsupported if they aren't ready to make the shift and just want someone to do their work for them. For the rest of the week/end challenge yourself to recognize and appreciate the various forms of support in your life. Thank spirit for the unconditional support of the divine and you'll see more of it come into awareness. Divine trust isn't enough because you can have ample trust but be sitting in it. You need to action your trust so you are utilizing it. Here's a channelled message from my new moon ceremony this week.
Channelled message: Support can appear to be a tricky thing because you may feel or think you are lacking support when in truth you can't see it because it's taken on an unexpected form. Support isn't something you need to call in for it's always there. It's something you affirm and open up to in divine faith and trust. If you were to dictate what form your support should take you'd surely be disappointed. Spirit always supports your highest good. Sometimes you can see what that is and other times it may appear tricky. But it is always true and divine in nature. You are never alone. Spirit is ever-present. Support is often measured by stability but often the most unstable times hold the greatest support.
The card pulled on Monday for this week showed an emphasis on rest, pacing yourself, and honoring any ebbs. These ebbs are a vital part of your abundance in action as they give you time to sit, think, feel and connect the dots. And this important processing is what's been happening for many of you this week. Have you ever noticed as soon as things get quiet you start to panic and worry? Maybe you feel the need to fill that space and waste your downtime trying to get back to being busy. But busy doesn't equal abundance. A focused intention, trust, and guided action do.
This week was a gentle but significant clearing of old patterns of the busier the better, and a beautiful breakthrough into the power of reflection. Stillness is a gift that can so easily be taken for granted. And we often ask for time or lament over how we could accomplish things if we just had more time, but actually honouring that time when it presents itself can be a real challenge. You can fully connect with the magic of your self-healing ability when you are willing to simply acknowledge a feeling, sit and be present with it, connect with spirit, and seek the source of the feeling. It's like watching a bunch of floating light particles come together before your very eyes. Before you know it, you're staring at one big orb, fully illuminated. I live for these moments, Elliott and I each enjoyed one of them this week and it's a spiritual high. This week's energy theme reminded you of the importance of curiosity and self-examination. And our elementals are starting to chat away so here they are...
Channelled message: Speaking of self-examination, here's something else you can expect to see in 2018, people who are wanting others to give them their answers instead of wanting to learn how to find the answers in themselves will experience disappointing interactions and find themselves engaging in unhealthy client/practitioner relationships that offer more lessons than help. This is a time where you are being pushed to realize the full force of your own potential, and guided to work it. That's where you'll taste the real nectar of life, where you'll enjoy the true pleasures of enlightenment. There are many people who can be helpful and offer guidance but seek first within and then you'll truly attract the support in the right form and practitioner without. Any disempowerment and boundary issues in client/practitioner relationships will be magnified to bring this to the surface for healing. Abundance is tied to your heart center, your self-love and well being. It's nice to be in the hustle and bustle sometimes, it's also nice to sleep. This week's energy wanted you to self-examine and ask, why? Why are you so eager to fill that space of time? Because it's necessary or because you're scared? Maybe you don't want to hear an answer? Your worthy self will bask in the glow of rest and reflection. You can't consistently work hard if you aren't balancing with ample rest. This energy theme of rest and reflection helped to lead you inward, to heal old patterns, to release old pressures, and to connect you with yourself and your potential. Remember that when you listen and ask questions, you will receive your answers. And abundance in all its glorious forms will flow. This weekend keep up the good work and practice being your own inner detective! Why this symptom? Why this feeling? You can't find the treasure if you don't dig.
